The Halton Baby Friendly Initiative is a community coalition that was formed as a recommendation of the 2002 Halton Infant Feeding Study. Community agencies, health care professionals and interested members are working as a group to promote, protect and support breastfeeding in the Halton region. With education, support and a culture accepting breastfeeding as a natural way of feeding a baby, the vision of breastfeeding being the norm for infant feeding in Halton will be achieved.
